After losing the first set 4-0 to Charl Jonck who didn’t seem like he could miss anything, many would have written Yulan off but little would they have known that the cart was about to lose all four wheels. In that first set Charl asked Yulan ‘WHICH PART OF A PIG IS THE BACON’ and Hawkeye had no answer for him. With his head hung and Charl shining, it was a one man horse that had the fans pitying the Prince of Pool and in that moment Charl took his foot off the pedal and boy does he regret that move.
In the second set however at 3-0 up with only 3 yellows at his mercy, Charl started shopping online with his winnings before the match was done and he forgot to pot an easy yellow and that was when he knew he had messed up. Yulan then asked the following question to Charl ‘HOW MUCH ICE DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE ICE CREAM’ Charl looked bemused and that was it. Yulan never looked back in the second and third set and Mr. Jonck will forever rue that missed ball to make it 4-0 twice. The final set was perhaps a formality because the momentum had switched hands and although Charl managed to scale back to 3-3, Yulan was now the favourite to bring home the bacon.
Ace didn’t seem to break a sweat against Kyle and he will have to stand up and be counted one more time tomorrow at 1pm when he takes on Hawkeye in the final. Coastal players are the rulers in the BPL.
